NTG/Services/IT Services & vCIO
An entire IT department. Or the one person it's missing.
Fractional CIO. Senior architects. Engineers, help desk and NOC. NTG supplies every role in IT — as a complete department, as targeted reinforcement for the team you have, or as the executive who keeps your business from making expensive technology decisions.
Take as little as a few hours a month, or the whole department.
Four ways to work with NTG. Most customers start with one and grow into another as trust — and scope — expand.
Assisting existing IT teams
Fill the gaps in the team you already have.
NTG engineers slot into your department to add capacity, specialized skills, off-hours support or coverage during a transition — working your tools, your processes and your standards, with NTG's bench behind them when something gets hard.
Best when you have a good team that's stretched, missing a specialty, or needs someone on the graveyard shift.
- Extra hands for tickets, projects and on-call rotation
- Rare skills on demand: networking, virtualization, databases, cloud, telephony
- Off-hours and holiday coverage
- Backfill for leave, attrition and hiring gaps
- Knowledge transfer so your team gets stronger, not more dependent
An entire IT department from us
Every IT role, delivered — onsite and off.
Customer service, help desk and NOC through engineering, architecture and executive leadership. You get one accountable team, one relationship and one invoice — with the depth of a department far larger than one company could hire.
Best when IT isn't your business and you'd rather have it simply work.
- Service desk and end-user support
- Network, server, cloud and endpoint operations
- Security, backup and disaster recovery
- Vendor and contract management on your behalf
- Named leads, defined service levels and clear reporting
Fractional executive services
A real CIO, at a fraction of the cost.
Even the smallest organization needs an experienced CIO to oversee decisions and translate technology into business terms for owners or the board. A good one shields you from risk, protects you from predatory vendors, and points technology at growth.
Best when you're making consequential technology decisions without an executive-level advisor.
- Technology strategy, roadmap and annual budget
- Independent vendor selection and contract negotiation
- Risk, security and compliance posture
- Board- and owner-level reporting
- Oversight of your existing team, MSP or vendors
Supplementary services as needed
Big projects, hard problems, fresh eyes.
When you're tackling a large project or need a second pair of eyes on a problem that won't stay fixed, NTG brings on-demand resources for one-time or ad-hoc needs — on-premises or remote, from a single afternoon to a multi-quarter program.
Best when you have a defined outcome and don't want a permanent commitment.
- Migrations: cloud, datacenter, email, telephony, platforms
- Infrastructure builds and refreshes
- Assessments, audits and second opinions
- Troubleshooting the problem nobody can pin down
- Break/fix and emergency response
Every seat at the table, staffed by specialists.
Use one role or all of them. Every function below is delivered by NTG practitioners working from shared tooling, shared runbooks and one escalation path.
Executive
vCIO / CIO, technology strategy, budgets, vendor governance and board reporting.
Architecture
Design authority for networks, platforms, cloud and integration — right-sized, not gold-plated.
Engineering
Systems, network, virtualization, storage, identity and automation. Where the hard problems land.
Security & risk
Controls, hardening, backup and recovery, policy and the paperwork auditors ask for.
Service desk
Tier 1 through 3 support for your people, with real ownership instead of ticket ping-pong.
NOC & monitoring
Proactive monitoring, patching and response so problems are found before your users find them.
Field & onsite
Hands where you need them — installs, moves, repairs and rollouts — coordinated by the same team.
Project delivery
Scoped, managed programs with a single owner, a plan and a finish line.
Advice is only worth what it costs the advisor.
Most IT providers earn margin, rebates or partner status when you buy what they sell. NTG doesn't resell, so our only incentive is the one that matters: the right answer for you — even when that answer is "buy less" or "do nothing."
No engineer at NTG is tied to selling a product. Ever.
Independent · Privately held · Family-owned| Reseller-model providers | NTG | |
|---|---|---|
| Who pays us | Vendors, via margin, rebates and partner tiers | Only you |
| What we recommend | Whatever we're certified and incentivized to sell | Whatever fits — including less |
| Our engineers | Often measured on product attach | Never tied to selling anything |
| When it gets hard | Escalate to the vendor | Escalate to another NTG engineer |
From first call to quiet, reliable IT.
- 01
Assess
We listen, inventory and find what's actually broken — and what's merely unloved. You get an honest picture, not a sales deck.
- 02
Stabilize
Fix what's on fire and remove single points of failure. Quick wins first, so the business feels the difference early.
- 03
Operate
We take on day-to-day operations with named engineers, defined service levels and reporting you can read.
- 04
Optimize
Roadmap, budget, cost reduction and business alignment — the executive layer that makes technology pay for itself.
If it plugs in, connects, or runs in a rack, we've supported it.
Things people ask before they call.
Do you replace our IT staff?
Only if you want us to. Many customers keep an internal lead and use NTG for depth, coverage and projects. Others hand us the whole department. We'll recommend whichever is right — including the option that needs us least.
Are you an MSP?
No. We're an engineering-led consultancy. We're also the firm many MSPs rely on behind the scenes — see MSP Services. Some customers use NTG the way they'd use an MSP; the difference is that nobody here carries a product quota.
Where are your engineers?
Across the United States, Latin America and Portugal — teams aligned to the time zones our customers work in. Delivery is remote-first, with onsite support arranged where a project or site requires it.
Can you work with our existing vendors and tools?
Yes. We're vendor-neutral, so we work with what you have, manage vendors on your behalf, and only suggest changes when they're worth the disruption.
What does it cost?
Engagements are scoped to what you need: a vCIO can be a few hours a month, augmentation is priced by role and coverage, and full departments are built around your environment. Talk to us and you'll get a straight number.
Bring us the problem your IT department can't solve.
